Research

The current research interest comprises mobile communication networks, mobile multimedia services and context-aware service platforms. The research focuses on following topics:

  • Protocols and architectures for mobile networks and performance evaluation by simulation and prototypical implementation of different application scenarios.
  • Context-aware services, in particular the integration of sensor networks in communication networks and the automatic recognition of the context for the control of the communication and information distribution.
  • Service creation environments for communication services and automated testing of services.
  • Mobile Broadcast, convergence of networks: new service paradigms and methods for self-organization in heterogeneous networks with distributed resources.
